Maryeda Louise Johnson

Maryeda passed away at home April u, zozo, at the age of 93.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Maryeda was born October 21,1926, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Guy and Esther (Bear) Jackson. She spent her childhood in Eldora, Iowa, and graduated from Eldora High School. On January 3,1947, married Harris Johnson. They moved to Denver, Colorado, so he could help his father with Johnson & Johnson Heating Company.

She worked for Western and Delta Airlines for zo years until retirement in Denver, Colorado, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

She enjoyed gardening knitting, and spending time with all her family. Harris and Maryeda loved the Western Slope of Colorado and bought property in Ouray, Colorado, in 1960. With the help of their son-in-law, Rick, they built the Barn Motel in 1975. They had four beautiful daughters, ten grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harris Johnson; brothers, Andrew Jackson, Robert Jackson, and Wilbur Jackson; sister, Patricia Hall; son-in-law, Justin Fay, and great-grandson, James Jensen.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Fay (Grand Junction), Georgia (Mike) Gartland (Denver), Karen (Steve) Tolle (Grand Junction), and Patty (Rick) Blackford (Ouray); ten grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Her graveside service was held on April 17, zozo, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ouray, Colorado. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
