This month it is my pleasure to share with readers a poem by Carol Keeney. Carol was a bilingual teacher and community organizer in California for 25 years who recently retired to Montrose. As an avid hiker and backpacker, she has found solace in the Sierras, the San Juans, and the Colorado Plateau. Carol credits the members of the Poetica Workshop in Ridgway with helping her turn those experiences into poems.
