After tasting the sweetness of reaching the state playoffs three years in a row, only to chase it with the bitterness of losing in the first or second round each time, the Ridgway High School boys’ soccer team finally put the cherry on top in 2019.

The Demons completed a dominating run through the Class 2A playoffs with a 2-1 victory over Dawson School on Nov. 16, giving them their first state title in soccer and the school its first crown in any sport in 24 years.
