Challengers make clean sweep of council
Ouray residents made it clear: They’re ready for something different when it comes to the City Council.
Voters on Tuesday picked retired engineer and relative newcomer Greg Nelson for mayor over longtime resident and current Mayor Pro Tem Glenn Boyd. They also pushed out council incumbents Dawn Glanc and Bette Maurer in favor of business owners John Wood and Peggy Lindsey, two first-time public office-seekers who had criticized past council decisions.
