The owners of the Twin Peaks Lodge & Hot Springs will begin to size up next week the final hurdle they need to clear to win approval of a major remodel and expansion of the resort.

The Ouray Planning Commission will meet Sept. 24 to consider whether to recommend the go-ahead for the final planned unit development for the property. The meeting begins at 4 p.m. in the Ouray Community Center. The City Council likely will take up the issue in October.
