Spark Ray Richardson

On July 9, 2019, after battling cancer, Spark left to spend eternity with his savior, Jesus Christ.

Many natives of Ouray County will remember Spark’s granddad, Fred Richardson, who was a longtime resident of Ouray County; and Spark’s uncle, Carl Richardson, who graduated from Ouray High School in 1965 (both deceased.)

Spark enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and family and was an accomplished horseman. He was an incredibly good human being and was liked, if not loved by just about everyone who ever met him.

Spark is survived by his wife, Nikki of Cedaredge, Co., his four children, Andrew, Eden, Dakota and Isabella Richardson; his mother, Jane Wolf of Cedaredge; his sister, Jaylynn (Josh) Springer of Olathe; his dad, Willie (Sandy) Richardson of Ridgway; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sept. 7 at The Chapel of the Cross, 388 S. Grand Mesa Dr., Cedaredge.

The family invites everyone to join them in the town park after the ceremony for a picnic and to reminisce. Bring your lunch.
