Competition aplenty for council
There may be plenty of competition for three seats on the Ouray City Council in the coming months.
Residents interested in running for mayor and one of the two council seats can now pick up nomination petitions at the Community Center, 320 Sixth Ave. As of Wednesday, nine people had picked up petitions, including incumbent councilors Dawn Glanc and Bette Maurer. Mayor Pam Larson isn’t seeking re-election.
