Remote-triggered avalanche in San Juan Mountains

This avalanche was remotely triggered on Sunday in the Commodore slide path. This avalanche broke wide and ran across the standard cross-country skin track where these skiers were about to go.

Avalanche conditions are extremely high and experts have warned against going into the backcountry at this time. Areas that you would travel most years may not be safe this year.
