A former resident and business owner in the town of Ridgway was arrested April 4 by U.S. Marshals in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania on charges of sexual assault and drug possession.
The arrest stems from a warrant issued by the Ridgway Marshal’s office March 29 charging Joseph Alaimo, 50, with sexual assault and possession of a controlled substance in Ridgway.
The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force was called in to assist in Alaimo’s apprehension on the 200 block of Point Township Drive in Point Township, Pennsylvania, after the suspect could not be located in Ouray County. He was then handed to Northumberland County officials for judicial proceedings.
