Object of Section 9 is focal point

Dear Editor,

“The liberty of the press is a blessing when we are inclined to write against others, and a calamity when we find ourselves overborne by the multitude of our assailants.” Samuel Johnson. As it appears, a few of your readers decided to make me the object of their derision rather than focus on the serious issues surrounding proposed Land Use Code rewrites of Section 9 - Visual Impact Regulations by the planning commission.
I remain steadfast in my belief that it is not unusual to expect journalists to help its readership understand the issues and what is at stake enabling the public to make informed decisions. There will be those who will continue to change the subject, but it truly is a disservice to the readership looking for information regarding the long-awaited visual impact regulations and what it will mean to Ouray County property owners.
