Council OKs design for park pavilion


Town still has a ways to go to raise matching funds

An architect’s rendering shows what theproposed pavilion will look like at Ridgway’s Athletic Park. Town councilors have approved the site and design for the 2,300 square foot building, which will feature a sloped roof, a sheltered area with picnic tables, storage facilities and a concession area.   Local residents played a big role in selecting the location for the new pavilion scheduled to be built in the Athletic Park next year. Now Ridgway town leaders hope the public will be equally invested in donating the money needed to make the facility a reality. The Ridgway Town Council on Nov. 20 unanimously approved the site and design of the roughly 2,300-square-foot pavilion. The next step…
