Last week, Ridgway Elementary School students had the opportunity to stick it to their principal, but only if they showed up at the school’s family math night.
Kindergarten through fifth grade teachers organized math games to play and to take home, and every student that made an appearance the evening of Feb. 27 was able to place a piece of tape on Principal Trish Greenwood. Eventually, Greenwood was taped and "suspended" to the wall, thanks to the many attendees and therefore many pieces of tape.
The school’s family math night is an opportunity for students and parents to work together on math skills through interactive games and activities.
At the end of the evening, Greenwood was released from her tape prison.
