ART SHOW - 59th Annual Artists' Alpine Holiday Fine Arts Show at the Ouray Community Center. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. ourayarts.org.

TEEN ACTIVITY - Teen Cafe at Ridgway Public Library, 300 Charles St., Ages 12 and up. 4-5 p.m.

LECTURE - "Cultural History of Mustangs in the West" with Alice Billings, the "Horse Lady." Ridgway State Park Visitor Center, 7:30 p.m.

OUTDOOR FILMS - Telluride Mountain Film on Tour at Ridgway Town Park at dusk. Featuring some of the best-loved short films for the Mountainfilm Festival. Free.

SWIM MEET - Scottie Aschermann Championship Meet. 300 summer league swimmers from all over Colorado compete in Ouray Hot Springs. Pool Closed until 5 p.m.

ART SHOW - 59th Annual Artists' Alpine Holiday Fine Arts Show at the Ouray Community Center. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. ourayarts.org.

 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 3

OUTDOOR ACTIVITY - "Hunger Games" Archery event, gear provided. Ridgway State Park Visitor Center, 9:30-11 a.m.

OUTDOOR ACTIVITY - "Touch Tables" at the swim beach as Ridgway State Park, every Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m., weather permitting.

LIVE MUSIC - Greg Everheart at KOA Campground, 3.5 miles north of Ouray, mm 98. BBQ & beer/wine bar. 5:30-8:30 p.m.

TRAIN RIDE - Free rides on RGS Motor 1 at the Ridgway Railroad Museum. 9 a.m.-3 p.m. 200 N. Railroad St.

BUSINESS EVENT - Ridgway First Friday. Participating business provide deals, music, art, food and fun. 5-9 p.m. every first Friday of the month through September.

TOUR - Guided walking tour of Ouray's Historic Main Street led by Irene Mattivi. $10. Meet at Ouray County Historical Museum, 420 6th Ave. 3 p.m. Preregister: 970-325-4576
