A Ouray County woman in her 50s who was tested for coronavirus on Oct. 16 has tested positive. This is the second case reported this week in Ouray County, following a woman in her 80s who tested positive for the virus before she died. It’s unclear whether COVID-19 was determined to be the cause of the woman’s death.

Both cases are under investigation. This latest case brings Ouray County's number of cases to 37, including three non-residents who are being reported by the county as positive cases.
