Cecil B. Westfall, of Ouray, went home to his Lord on December 23, 2013, after a brief illness.  Cecil, born June 17, 1919, was the loving and devoted husband of Marion, and incredible father to David, Stephen, John, Ruth McRonald, Kim Madrano, and Susan Rodgers.
Cecil, born and raised in Rochester, New York, was drafted into the U.S. Army on March 25, 1941, and served the duration of WWII in the Panama Canal Zone and Europe, before being honorably discharged October 9, 1945.  In 1948, Cecil married Marion Werner, whom he met while both were employed by Eastman Kodak in Rochester.  Cecil and his bride soon moved thereafter to Boulder, Colorado, to attend and subsequently graduate with honors in mechanical engineering.  He later earned his masters in engineering from Harvard University.  Cecil was employed, until 1960, by the University of California, at Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico and finished his career as a propulsion engineer with the Martin-Marietta Co. in Denver.  Cecil was a registered professional engineer in New Mexico and Colorado.  Cecil and Marion retired to Ouray in 1984 and moved into a home they had previously built.
Cecil is survived by Marion, all six of his children, and the spouses of three children; Adele (Stephen), Vivian (John) and Genaro (Kim.)  He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; David Corbett (Lisa), Nathanael Westfall (Brianne) Jamie Westfall (Shauna), Anna Hughes (Noah), Heidi Minaga (Todd), Jason Haubenreiser, Buckley Rodgers, Austin McRonald, Madison McRonald, Riley Westfall, and Rosalie Westfall.  Additionally Cecil was the great-grandfather to six; Jeremiah Hughes, Lilah Hughes, Gabrielle Hughes, Joey Haubenreiser, Noah Westfall, and Reghan Westfall.
