Grabbing your hand she would say, “Come over here and let me introduce you. So and So, this is my best friend (insert your name).” Anybody that knew Jeannie was introduced like this at some point because every- body was Jeannie Logan’s best friend! She loved people and they loved her.

On April 26, at her Ridgway home and surrounded by loved ones, Gerry Weaver, 90, peacefully ascended from natural causes.
Born Geraldine Mae Stowell in St. Louis on June 27, 1925, she married Billy Dennis Weaver, her college sweetheart, in 1945, and they maintained a loving, dedicated marriage for 60-plus years, until his ascendance in 2006. Though Dennis became a celebrity, she was always the real star of her family and the driving force behind his success, as he often referred to himself as “Mr. Gerry Weaver."

William “Bill” Sands Thompson, age 85, of Montrose, CO died peacefully at his home Monday morning, May 2, 2016. Bill, the only son of Jane Catherine (Sands) and William Vincent Thompson was born in Milwaukee, WI. He was raised in Southern California and was a 1947 graduate of Van Nuys High and graduated from U.C.L.A in 1950 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He then served his stint in the Air Force and spent some time on the L.A. County Sheriff’s department.

Arlene C. Discoe

Peacefully passed away on April 27th at the age of 91. Wife of the late Willard D. Discoe, Sr. and beloved moth- er of Linda Shelby (Joe) of St. Louis, MO., the late Willard Discoe Jr., Nancy O’Dell of Darby, Montana, Darlene Siebert (Randy) of Montrose and Richard Discoe (Shonnie) of Ridgway. Arlene was the dear grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 16. She lived a full and joyous life embraced by the goodness and graces of God. She loved her family with all her heart and had many dear, dear friends.
