City stays within ranks to hire administrator

The search for the next Ouray city administrator is staying in-house.
City Council members unanimously agreed Monday to field only internal applicants for the city's top executive post. Applications are due to City Attorney Carol Viner by April 26. The council will review applications on April 29 and could make a decision on the next city administrator at its first meeting in May.
Former Police Chief Justin Perry has been serving as the interim city administrator since the council fired Katie Sickles without cause on Jan. 28.
