Alethea Nova

In Loving Memory of
Alethea Nova
February 8, 1962 ~ August 2, 2018

Our sweet friend and gentle soul, Alethea Nova (Guthrie), passed peacefully away on August 2nd following a brief illness.
Alethea was a writer and a lover of nature and animals.  She found peace and immense joy spending time in the tranquility of the sacred San Juan Mountains where she enjoyed photography, hiking, and mountain biking, and snowshoeing.  Alethea worked tirelessly as an advocate against child abuse.  Alethea lived in Log Hill with her dog Bear, and beloved rescue kitty Stryder.
Join us on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. at Inspiration Point, Log Hill Village (located on the escarpment, Tower Road S.) for a brief memorial.  Bring a sweet story or fond memory to share, as we celebrate Alethea’s beautiful spirit.  She loved butterflies and the color pink and was often seen wearing both.  Feel free to wear a splash of pink in her honor.  Following the memorial, friends are welcome to join in a celebration of life hike to Blue Lakes.
A memorial fund has been established at Citizens State Bank in Ridgway, CO. Memorial proceeds will go toward Alethea’s medical expenses and end of life care.
