For the second time this week, Ouray City Hall was evacuated Friday due to gas odors. Coupled with the gas odors, the city found that a boiler was malfunctioning and producing elevated carbon dioxide levels.

City Administrator Katie Sickles said the city was working Friday to repair the problem. "We have a vendor onsite and Black Hills Energy has also been dispatched," she said in an email to the Plaindealer, " regarding  the metal shavings that appear to be coming through the gas line from the main." Sickles sent a photo of some of the metal shavings that had been collected (attached).
