Several elected officials announced their intent to run for their offices again on the steps of the courthouse the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 13. Ben Tisdel, county commissioner; Colleen Hollenbeck, county coroner; Susie Mayfield, county assessor; Michelle Nauer, county clerk and recorder; and, Bob Larson, county surveyor, will all vie to keep their seats at the next election.
The group joins Joel “BB” Burk, undersheriff, and Jill Mihelich, chief deputy treasurer and public trustee, in making announcements to run for a county position. Mihelich will seek to replace Jeannine Casolari, county treasurer, and Burk attempts to follow Dominic Mattivi, county sheriff. Both Mattivi and Casolari have said they won’t run in this year’s election.
