Road committee change may improve effectiveness

The role of the road committee and the way it operates may change, after a discussion between county commissioners and committee members. Commissioners Ben Tisdel and John Peters suggested the change at the Nov. 6 road committee meeting, citing the recent difficulty of reaching a quorum, poor attendance by some committee members and the looming question of the committee’s true purpose.
The Board of County Commissioners appoints seven volunteer Road Committee members, who meet monthly.
