OURAY COUNTY: Ridgway State Park on track for another banner year

Summer is in full swing and shows no sign of slowing down anywhere in the county, according to the Ouray Chamber Resort Association and the state park.
“We are actually turning people away on the weekends,” said Kirstin Copeland, park manager at Ridgway State Park. “We have 283 sites and they are booked every Thursday through Monday for the summer. We really only have first come, first served camping on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
“Our full hookup sites are booked for the entire summer. And our campers are not exactly roughing it. We have showers, flush toilets and laundry facilities,” shared Copeland about the amenities at RSP.
