: New sculpture joins PARC’s visual collection

Chuck Christy, creator of the sculpture sitting at the intersection of Charles Street and Lena Street, stands next to his work. Christy described the piece as a nail collage including some stonework. Christy is under contract with Public Art Ridgway Colorado to keep the sculpture in Ridgway for a year. Christy’s work is for sale and has been to other regional municipalities, including Montrose and Grand Junction.

Anyone who’s passed by the intersection of Lena and Charles streets recently may have noticed a strange rock tree that’s sprouted on the sidewalk. Upon closer inspection, one discovers a stimulating art piece that has become part of Public Art Ridgway Colorado’s collection.
