By Bill Tiedje

In time for the new school year, Ridgway Schools received their standardized test scores and will adjust curriculum and teacher support according to the areas of strengths and weaknesses.

The Transitional Colorado Assessment Program tests are given to third graders through 10th graders.
Superintendent Steve Smith said, "Some points of celebration include all academic areas in fourth grade, a huge spike in seventh grade math and significant increases in eighth grade reading scores. We will continue to refine the writing program across all grades and continue our work in providing students with a more rigorous K-12  math program."
