A couple of weeks ago I flew back east to Chapel Hill, N.C., for a family event. My brother, a professor at UNC (University of North Carolina) has five grandchildren. This was for the second Bat Mitzvah of the bunch. Of course, that weekend was the time of the East Coast blizzard so while I got there safely, only missed Friday night temple, I think I may have spent more time in airports than I actually did with my family. The important thing is I made it in time for Saturday morning temple when Eliana was called to the Torah.
