Many of Ridgway’s largest trees are nearing the end of their life cycles and efforts to preserve and replace them are underway. Triage is the process of determining the priority of patients' treatments based on the severity of their condition. Ridgway has adopted a “Tree-age” to determine the action plan to maintain the large cottonwoods that are such a huge part of Ridgway's identity, based on the severity of their condition.
