They now live in Ridgway. Chris and Jan are celebrating 33 years together, “hanging in through the good, bad and the ugly.” Jan has a love for smoky ballads from the 40s; Chris admires The Beatles, Elvis, Johnny Cash and Roy Orbison. In addition to the music on Valentines Day, a few war stories will be told from working in every corner of the music industry with artists such as Ray Charles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Loretta Lynn, Kristin Chenoweth, Dolly Parton and even The Chipmunks. In the early years Jan sang background vocals on records, toured the country with Amy Grant and raised their two sons. During this time Chris was writing, producing and singing national commercials. This path led to production and singing on country, pop and gospel records. They also had the honor of singing the national anthem at a Rockies game last summer. Over the years they’ve learned to keep it fun, laugh at life, laugh at each other and not get bogged down with the little things. Wherever life takes them, they are riding out the rest of their days as “The Adventures of Rodeo and Juliet.” Right now, they’ve been led to Ouray County.
