Ouray area diners will have a rare opportunity to enjoy live entertainment and a fine dinner on Saturday, Jan. 21 as the Ouray Elks Lodge hosts a prime rib dinner that is open to the public. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. and includes prime rib, baked potato, salad and dessert, all for just $20. “We think this will be a great opportunity for folks to enjoy a great served meal and spend a relaxing and fun evening,” said event chairman Jim Pettengill. “Our dinner show will include singing, instrumental music and some surprises starting during dessert, and afterward we’ll open the entertainment to general karaoke. I think our audience may be surprised at the number of talented singers and other performers we have in our area, and I guarantee that there will be a wide variety of musical styles – country to rock and roll, blues to Broadway. Absolutely everyone is welcome to participate – if you can sing in the shower, you can sing karaoke. To top the evening off, there will be a “White Elephant” silent auction to benefit our charity fund, and the club room is open to the public, so plan to make an evening of it and come share a great time!” While there will be limited unreserved seating, diners are strongly urged to make reservations with Pettengill at 626-4239 by Jan. 19 to help determine how much food to prepare.
