RIDGWAY SCHOOLS Budget approved, health survey results considered
By Bill Tiedje
The upcoming year's budget and a survey of youth's risky behaviors were among the topics discussed at the Ridgway School Board meeting on June 30.
During the public comment portion of the meeting, the Plaindealer posed questions as to the location, handicap access and parking facilities for the board's next noticed public meeting, a work session and retreat at board member Steve Larivee's home at 4:00 p.m. on July 22.
Larivee responded that the meeting, which is open to the public, will convene at 283 Meadow Circle. Parking is available for approximately 30 cars.
Board members Larivee, Heather Yeowell and chair Roger Sagal (attending by phone) voted unanimously to hold the work session/retreat at this location.
Board members Bart Skalla and Greg Lawler were not present.
The 2014-15 budget was also approved unanimously as part of the consent agenda on Tuesday evening.
