CITY OF OURAY: T-shirt print shop encourages active lifestyles

In 2009, Sue Fields left behind over 20 years of high-stress work in the investment banking industry. A Harvard graduate, her career has taken her from the hustle and bustle of Wall Street, to a seat as chief financial officer for Vitamin Cottage Natural Grocers and now to a small retail shop off in the San Juan Mountains.

Fields is the founder of Multisport Journeys, a t-shirt printing shop located off 7th Avenue in Ouray. However, Multisport Journeys is not just another print shop; it's a lifestyle. "Live to play another day" is the trademarked motto that Fields has adopted for her new life and business venture in the San Juans, and her goal is to share that message with everyone.
"This is my 'retirement' job," joked Fields, who would rather hike the rugged terrain around town than stay at home and relax. "This is something I birthed to continue to keep my hand in the business world."
